I want a Halo TV series that is is called “Spartans.” Each episode shows a spartan or spartan team doing a mission. Each episode is its own little arc with the main overall arc progressing. Like imagine the Mando show but one episode is Linda sneaking on a covenant cruiser to plant a bomb, next episode could be a spartan 3 team extracting a government official. I miss episodic shows that each episode had its own enclosed arc not knowing what you might get next week. The format would allow to explore the lore and characters in a more engaging way than what the heretic paramount created.

You really hit the nail on the head here. Getting a mainline game every 5 years only for it to release unfinished just isn’t doing it anymore. Halo’s community is so incredibly alive, especially considering it’s survived through MASSIVE droughts and disappointments. So getting these smaller projects in-between is such a natural fit for this community, seeing as we’re always grasping for more Halo content, whatever it may be. And Halo getting its own Andor would go so unbelievably hard😭

This is the same thing with Disney; they've been putting out nostalgic remakes of their classic animated films because they can easily gather eyeballs and make quick bucks. However, this isn't sustainable and their quality is usu not as good as the originals. With 343, a remake of CE is clearly the conservative option that gives them the most cash-grabbing potential. It's the money they (343 or Microsoft regardless) care about, not the game itself. They lack the long-run vision of keeping a famed franchise alive for future money-making opportunities and instead prefer immediate gains that may end up destroying any hope of reinvigorating Halo. This is a common, basic error not just for the film and gaming industries, but many others as well.

Agreed... I still say it is almost criminal we never had a Kig Yar Space Pirate game in the mold of Mass Effect 2/ Extraction Shooters. Imagine looting worlds involved in massive firefights before they get glassed using whatever race/unit you managed to recruit, trying to escape flood infested Asteroids, raid planets like Reach or Harvest, orbital stations, or ships. Alternatively UNSC vs the Separatist faction could be as reinvigorating as the WW2 CoD games were for that series.

idk, i dont trust 343 to do literally anything with the franchise. Every time something gets greenlit for novels or shows, it just seems to try and spite the fan. Or worse: do away with characters outside of the games so they can come back later. Or EVEN worse, fuck up so drastically that it just pisses everyone off to such a ludicrous degree that it boggles the mind as to why it was done in the first place. Lookin at you ODST sidestory that somehow managed to figuratively and LITERALLY assassinate multiple characters in a book people were looking forward to cuz after the odst game we got nothing. No, those characters are gone now cuz we said so in this book. Rip this franchise out of their hands. Reboot from the end of 3 or start actually remaking the series from the ground up with a new studio. If Infinite was their first game id prob be far more lenient. Its their first try, it sucks but hey making games is hard. But its not their first try. This is their third try at a mainline game, and what is salvageable in their extended lore comes at the price of tons and tons of mediocrity at best, outright incompetence at worst. Rip it from their hands, they've had TOO MANY chances. Unfortunately, thats not gonna happen, cuz microsoft just doesnt care. They care even less than 343 does. At this point neither can be trusted going forward without massive upheavals in leadership and attitude, and thats just not gonna happen. Going into the future we might get a decent game again, maybe, but we're on a ticking clock until known characters' VAs age out of their roles. Steve downes is in his mid 70s for christ's sake. Without remakes, the voice of chief himself might have to be changed before we get another decent game, let alone a good one. And Keith David's in his late 60s! How long do we have before arbiter's voice has to be recast too? The two of them deserve a good game, as do all the people who put their time in over the years. And 343 is just dunking the series over and over while time keeps rolling. I admire those of you who retain your hope, but i just cant. Being a fan of this franchise is getting worse than being a berserk fan watching the new adaptations. Sometimes a dead franchise is preferable in the wake of apathy and spite. At least then you can be sad its over, instead of angry at how it's being puppeteered by people who appear to hate it.

I'm sick and tired of halo just being chief. I wish they left halo 3 as the ending and did spin offs till 2017. Then maybe wake the chief back up. I think it would work better if 117s story was told each decade. Then you have spin off games. Have a marines game where you're about to die and he comes in like Luke skywalker at tye end of Mando s2 and saves the fucking day. Even let us play as him in a mission. Not the full game. I really think if microsoft released a boots on the ground Marines game even in 08. It could've kept up with cods pace.

I know it will never happen, but I would love to see a game centered around the storyline of our favorite, cigar chompingest sergeant, A. J. Johnson. I imagine it starting with flashback missions during his time as a marine, onto his ONI black ops days. Maybe some Orion stuff sprinkled in, with the climax of the game being his actions on Harvest. Could bridge the gap between those who want something new, and those who want the familiar.

You forget about 343's positions that they are hiring for. Plus they also hired Ex-bungie and OG halo legend Game designer Dan Gnaidy which at this point in halo infinites life span is weird. and in addation with time spans of the positions, there is at least one, maybe two Halo games being worked on at this point, at least dating to TWO months after halo Infinite's full release. Which also explains halo Infinitye sucking after launch since they already moved on.

The future of Halo is the past alpha of destiny a server based deformable orb that as becomes war-torn pieces of the orb can be converted into energy that can be converted into armor and the arenas are built by war as is evidenced by the lore and destiny and the shape of the environments since the first campaign.

After Infinite’s great campaign and the cry from fans for a new game or dlc it’s clear a mainline title is the direction to go in. But spin-offs would be amazing. Whether it’s from 343 directly or another studio with their oversight. The only problem is that it feels like 343 is backed into a corner as the fanbase is so divided and when they do anything it feels like some portion isn’t happy. Idk I am hoping for the best because I love this series.

I think a battlefield type game set during the human covenant war would be a huge success. You could pick from different classes of marines, like battlefield, but you could also get the options of playing as an odst or spartan if you played well enough, like battlefront.

The Halsey vs oni and oni being evil are canon elements I enjoy, this show just sucks. In fact I feel like the books that the oni drama happens in should be what the TV show should've been adapting, something important that deepens the canon yet is just off screen enough from master chief to really thrive as it's own story. Specifically I just wish they would've adapted the kilo five trilogy of books by Karen Traviss into a tv show. Feels like it's such a wasted opportunity because if done right it would be the star trek/firefly of the halo universe and blow up on paramount +. Three odsts, a professor, a Spartan, an AI, and parangosky's protege in a pimped out slip space fairing pelican barely pulling off scrappy swashbuckling ONI espionage. I feel like it would be so popular with both fans and non fans because it lets the games handle master chief and the show do it's own thing. What we got is just so damn blasphemous I can barely look at it.

Man i wished they could do a Halo Lengends 2. Its been a decade and theyre a whole new generation of artists that can add theyre flavor to halos expansive universe.
